Born From the Saddle
Our founders were riders before they were tailors. The frustration of ill-fitting competition wear and moisture-soaked hacking jackets drove them to question why equestrian attire lagged behind technical sportswear.
In 1987, working from a converted stable block in the Cotswolds, they began experimenting with performance fabrics while maintaining the aesthetic standards expected in the arena. The result transformed how serious riders approach their wardrobe.
Our Approach to Equestrian Tailoring
Traditional bespoke methods remain central to our process. Computer-aided pattern cutting cannot replicate the judgement of a master tailor who understands how fabric behaves under stress. Yet we embrace innovation in materials science.
Our workshop maintains relationships with technical fabric mills across Europe. We test new moisture-wicking weaves under actual riding conditions before incorporating them into our offerings. Performance claims require evidence, not marketing language.
The People Behind the Craft
Our team includes tailors who trained in Savile Row establishments, fabric technicians with backgrounds in outdoor performance wear, and consultants who have competed at international level.
This combination ensures that aesthetics never compromise function, and technical innovation never disregards tradition. Each specialist contributes perspective to every garment we produce.
